The Farm

Wise Acre Farm got its start in 1997. We are a small diversified farm producing a variety of home-grown goodies:

Farm Stand: We have a Farm Stand at the farm where we sell our farm products, and a few other locally-produced items. “The Stand” is open year ’round on Thursdays – Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Seasonal Fruit and Vegetables: we have planted a wide variety of fruit trees to keep the Farm Stand stocked year ’round. We also grow seasonal veggies.

Free range laying hens: Our happy hens keep the farm stand stocked with the best eggs around! Eggs are in shorter supply during the winter months when production decreases due to shorter daylight hours.

Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats: In 2017 we added a small herd of Nigerian Dwarf Dairy goats to the farm. We make hand-crafted goat milk soaps that we sell in our Farm Stand when available. We also use the milk for personal consumption, including yogurt and cheese-making. All of our goats are registered pure bred Nigerian Dwarfs and our herd is tested regularly for CAE, CL and Johne’s disease.

Habitat: At Wise Acre Farm, we have integrated the use of native plantings around the property to encourage natural habitat restoration and to improve water quality running off the farm by decreasing erosion and filtering runoff.
